| Hello all, Been a long time follower and absolutely love this site. I Purchased my Z in February of 2011. The vehicle passed smog and had no no problems at time of purchase (purchased from original owner). After the vehicle sitting for a few months, I took the car down today to have the smog done (required every two years in CA). About the vehicle. Its a 92 twin turbo 100% stock with 117,xxx miles. Today on start up the "HICAS" light was on. First time I have ever seen this light illuminate. I drove the vehicle for a couple blocks and a strange noise was being made. The noise sounded like perhaps the power steering was working too hard, not sure how to describe the sound. As I went to head back home the noise stopped and the light turned off. I continued to the smog shop hopping it would pass and I could let the car sit as I figured out what that noise/light meant. Well the car failed the smog. Labeled as a gross polluter. Here is the pic, hopefully it works. http://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b542/joshsalkeld/300zxsmog_zps440e2e73.jpg ][/IMG"> Where should I start so I can have this vehicle pass smog? My ultimate plan is to restore this vehicle and not drive it, but I need to pass smog so I don't have to worry about it for at least another two years. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
